I'm really sorry to hear about what happened to your ranch @thegoldsmith but the way the horses and other animals were being treated was inhumane and wasn't right, so i took it upon myself to free all of the animals at the facility and demolish the ranch completely. I hope next time you treat your horses with love and care, or else i'll have to do the same again.

also, the walls were only put up at night to protect them from zombies, at the day we take em out for excercise and breeding and socialising when they dont wanna breed

yes, but there are torches near them to warm them up. plus, our system is extremely advanced and have heaters. The reason the horses are stored in this way is to preserve warmth, allow them to socialise , protect against mobs, easy to check for pests and diseases and easy to manage. you call this inhumane? look at blackshop, they have a 1x1 cube, arent allowed to socialise, no heaters and are slain when they arent desired

i would like to point out also the fact that most of the horses were long hairs and came in from that same biome to us.
if you will notice the HOUSE was the only thing in the polar biome, we suffered through cold nights when the only consolation was that the horses were nice and warm in there pens safe from mobs by the golem guarded walls. DID YOU NOT SEE the large, carefully maintained garden were we raised only the best carrots. DID YOU NOT SEE the chest full of carefully gold coated carrots for them?

Do they live with stock piled hay as tall as the wall?
Do they live with a carefully constructed pumpkin farm to build more guards for them?
DO THEY LIVE with people that don't go of base hunting but stay with them to care for them?

and the cool thing is everything @hopping25 said is true we made every effort to ensure there was someone there to look after them at all times
i even sent my alt to care for them when needed. everything was scientific and humane ffs
plus, these horses are found in their natural habitat, not imported from china. (or countries near the equator) as you were accusung is of.
