OK lets have some fun. I started a go fund me account to give away VIP accounts to defaults, we will nominate players and donate to the page. when we have enough funds i will buy them the VIP in their in-game name. to get things started I will donate the first $5.00 to get it rolling.
The first player on the list has been nominated as : : TertianDrip609

Apparently the lowest amount allowed is $5.00 i don't know if can change that or if its a go fund me thing. this is my first ever go fund me campaign. I suppose you could send money via paypal to my email humfrydog11@gmail.com if you wish to donate less as a option and when it reaches 5 dollars in total i will transfer it to the go fund me account. To the staff of craftymynes let me know if this somehow violates a rule and i can stop ASAP.

Out of curiosity, how would one go about getting them selves nominated for a VIP rank?

Be a regular player get to know some MVP players establish yourself as a real player not a Alt account. AND Hopefully someone will nominate you. Personally i would say your close to being nominated.

CraftyMyner , Are you able to change the donating for a friend option to allow me to donate for several players at once?

Tertian became a vip before we reached 15 USD, now there is 0 in gufundme. who became vip? @humfrydog

Last time I checked my initial 5 dollars was all that was in there. I will check tonight. Also please nominate our next default. SO far Zaper8, EaterBunny, OwlDoctor and Riffraff have been suggested. I THINK Zaper8 is the front runner. We need more regular players input.

I remember when I first started setting it up the go Fund Me site itself generated a weird TIP box donation space and I really.had to pay attention not to tip the.stupid site
Please check your home accounts/credit card receipts to verify. I will check after i get home from work tonight. As of today I personally have removed zero dollars. I will look into this ASAP, just can't do it from work computer network.

Please hold off on donating until I sort out the missing funds issue. If you truly did donate to this fund please private message me. I verified with my bank that my 5 dollar donation was in fact sent to the campaign however it still shows zero funds. I have contacted Go fund Me via email (only option) and I am awaiting response. I hope to have this resolved as fast as possible.

Well it was a good idea i think but something went wrong. its been frozen by go fund me and may end up costing me money out of pocket. so I guess we will need to find another way to gift defaults.

I was not asking for a refund just wanted to know if you recieved it, but just use paypal i think its easy and if you are going to use paypal i will donate again.

Unfortunately this experiment was a bust. I suspect operator error as this was my fiirst ever go fund me campaign. i plan on researching and coming up with something like this. I am open to all ideas. Maybe something like crowd funding.

I wouldn't say have the community poll on who gets it. I say there should be a random player spinner that selects the player than wins.

How about random nominations and then a public poll to vote for the nominees?

Random nominations means that alts could end up getting it, when their main already has VIP. I'd say do a community poll to vote on nominees, and have staff weed out alts and then have another poll to determine the lucky winner. If the whole point is to get defaults VIP, then in my opinion alts should be excluded.

I say the nominees should be people who are on quite often and interact with the server. But definitely have a poll of who would get it. I say people who are on quite often cause u don't wanna waste VIP on someone who is gonna leave the server or not play.

@FieryPhoenix64 Yeah, we dont want players who came on once then left forever getting nominated.

This is why i suggested a poll on nominees, so people could vote who they want to nominate, then host another poll to determine a winner

Sadly GoFundMe will actually either freeze or delete your page unless it's something related to a family issues such as father having some sort of cancer that needs funding to make it go away and family needs support etc.

It's not for stuff like this, so yeah, it's unfortunate though, it would be nice to see people who are not dipshits and fuckheads of course, to get VIP for being an absolute anti-dipshit and anti-fuckhead. :D

If I eventually get financially stable(working in a kitchen washing dishes n shit sure won't make me financially stable lol) I might throw in a couple of VIP's, but not now. :D

Personally I think every 500 (or whatever number) of total votes, the person with the most votes within that 500 would be a decent system.

I like the idea of top voter once the threshold is hit, voting is helpful to the server and shows the player is committed, if there are multiple players with the same amount of votes we could rng pick from them to select the winner if not multiple winners,we can also exclude a previous winner from the next selection to make it more fair to others,giving it to defaults would be best imo however if a ranked player wins we could give them a timeframe to select someone they wish or they can abstain and have staff pick the next follow up in votes

Yea something along those lines sound good to me.

I would exclude all already vip members from the top votes, or make a thread like Nysic had where staff could nominate players.
