Control Panel and Private Teleport Requests

  1. 6 years ago

Some of you may have been wondering what the verified tag beside my name might be. Others might be wondering how they can send a teleport request to their alt without having it broadcasted to everyone on the server.

I'm here to announce our new control panel along with Minecraft account verification. You will now be able to go to the control panel link found under your username, once you go there you will be prompted to go to the verifications server and enter the code you are given. Once you enter that code your forum account will now be linked to your Minecraft account. If you have VIP this will allow you to send teleport requests without typing them in chat.

I plan to add a lot more to the control panel, this is just a taste of the system.

Check out the control panel here: https://forum.craftymynes.com/controlpanel

  2. Nice work Crafty!

  3. How would you send a tp request to an alt? Wouldn’t that require both accounts to be on at the same time? Pardon my being a spaz, I’ve never done alts but I can see it’s advantages as far as having more warps.

Some players have an alt for things like afk farming, with the old system you could teleport you alt to your main without anyone knowing that you owned that account. With the new system being in chat, everyone would see you teleport your alt. This control panel has a field where you can enter your alts name to teleport to them without putting it in chat. This can also be to teleport to a friend that you may not want everyone knowing that you are teleporting to them. You will need to have both accounts online.

  5. This is great

  6. You are now able to send TPHere requests as well as accept/reject through the control panel!

  7. @CraftyMyner may I ask what the difference is between a tp and a tpahere?

  8. @alarmgv12 @CraftyMyner may I ask what the difference is between a tp and a tpahere?

TP is to request to teleport to someone, TPHere is to request someone to teleport to you.

  9. @CraftyMyner TP is to request to teleport to someone, TPHere is to request someone to teleport to you.

hi sorry to bother u and this is probably the wrong thread but do vips have .wild cooldowns now? it happened to me

  10. Can We also have an option to discretely perform other actions like .wild and .trade? Sometimes we may not want to draw attention or may even want to fly under the radar with the assumption of being AFK still. Asking for a friend.

  11. @Fingerbib hi sorry to bother u and this is probably the wrong thread but do vips have .wild cooldowns now? it happened to me

Everyone got a delay because players were spamming it, I will be adjusting the delay based on your rank.

All commands will be added to the panel at some point, just working on a better ui for it.

I was wondering what going on because even if you did a tp request on the control panel its not hidden because you now have to do .tp accept name and it shows in chat

  14. @javonjw You can now accept/reject TP requests with the panel

Thats cool but it almost feel like we going back in time before everthing was done in game now we have to open a browser just to be private with the tp system i know its not crafty and its more on mojang . Also i don't know how hard or easy it is to have it to where its all in game so i am confused on the whole process and why does tp request have to show in chat to everyone anyways

This. The new system that we use is sadly a huge downgrade from the book system. I'm aware of the fact that its not possible to use the old system in 1.13 but having to open a browser just to not spam the chat with commands is simply unpractical.

  17. I really don't see the issue with opening a browser, it's hardly a specialist tool, nearly everyone has one and it provides a lot of functionality that would otherwise be unavailable and we will be able to add to it further. Nothing really impractical about that.

Which is besides the point there is no alternative anyway other than chat which would ruin any chance of conversation.
So unless you want to use a system like that then that's the way the system has to be.

It’s not that we can’t use the book system in 1.13, I just changed everything from command blocks to the panel to reduce the load on the game server.

Addin the book system back not only would cause lag, it would also be hard to use tp because of ids and also give everyone books.

most browsers aren't very friendly with ram usage, meaning if you're on a lower end pc or laptop that could mean your game gets slowed significantly, which i can see being a problem for javon since he sometimes does play on a laptop and that could inconvenience him greatly with performance issues in game

The control panel was not meant to stop spamming chat, it was just to allow private tp requests. Only to be open in your browser to send a tp request, then closed again.
